Strong ad complex with rich malt character with notes of plum, raisin, and some subtle spice notes with a full body and semi-sweet finish.

The NAME

The name has a bit of a dual meaning. First: it’s a term used in Aussie Rules football referring to the team in the lowest few places on the ladder. Second: it’s a reference to the 3 months the beer spent in the tank lagering before it was A) put to rest in a Sazerac barrel and B) put on tap at Bay 13.

 

BEER FACT

The strongest beer in the Trappist/Abbey ale family named for its relative strength compared to beers in the same “family” (Singles, Dubbels, Tripels).

  • Malt: Pilsner, 2-Row and Pale Ale malts, Munich II, Flaked Oats, Special B, and Belgian Candi Syrup

  • Hops: Galaxy

  • Yeast: BE-256 (Belgian Yeast Strain)
