Late additions of Australian Galaxy hops balanced against the sweetness of the malt provide and excellent backdrop for the woody, earthy notes of the style with a subtle citrus kick in the finish. Collaboration with Pensacola’s own Alga Beer Co.

The NAME

6L GTR (pronounced 6 liter GTR) is the name of a song from Australian Punk rock band “The Chats.” The name was suggested by Brett from Alga brewing as it was his favorite song from that band.

BEER FACT

While there is no “defined” style for an Aussie Bitter, it is modeled after a traditional Enlgish bitter which is a pale ale that ranges in color from gold to a dark amber and is malt-forward with a distinct hop bitterness.

• Malt: Lager Maltt, Amber Malt, Pilsner, Vienna, Oat Malt, Caramunich III

• Hops: Galaxy

• Yeast: US-05
